Hydration!

I just wanted to say "thank you" to everyone for doing such a great job staying hydrated throughout the hot days this summer.  Parents, coaches, and kids all deserve recognition for being informed and proactive in preventing dehydration at EPE.

We have been drinking between 25-45 gallons of spring water each day!

Dehydration can easily sneak up on you!  Be careful!

Remember to drink small amounts of water, many times throughout the day!

Great weather for the Wiffleball tournament

We had some great weather for today's wiffleball tournament!

We had 48 boys and girls play on12 teams.  We had 4 pools with 3 teams in a pool.  The top 2 teams from each pool made it into the Championship Bracket for a 1 game elimination challenge.

The sportsmanship was great throughout the day!

OG was named the Tournament MVP, blasting about 10 HRs throughout the event.

ML, KC, JW and DR prevailed as the Week 2 CHAMPS, but they were no match for the Legends!  Maybe next week....

Coaches are gearing up for Friday Tournaments

Each Friday the Everyday PE summer program goes into tournament mode.  We celebrate a week of healthy activity with several competitive games and tournaments.  The most popular tournaments we run are the wiffleball tournaments.

Last year we had 60-80 kids each Friday, competing in co-ed, multi-grade wiffleball tournaments.  We had a total of 3 fields and 6 teams playing for almost 5 hours straight!

EPE Total Athlete Program is getting great reviews!

EPE Total Athlete Program is getting great reviews!

The whole point of this program is to help children really think about what type of physical activity they are choosing to participate in, and why.  To really build a lifelong interest in staying fit, children need to become skilled in understanding the various intensities that games, sports and activities offer.

We are celebrating kids that attempt to gain 5 STARS in each of 5 categories during their time at EPE:

Competetive Activities

Week 3 is officially closed!

We have set a new EPE record with an anticipated 120 students in week 3!  This beats last year's highwater mark of 109!

Unfortunately, week 3 is closed.  We currently have a wait list in the event that someone can not attend.  Email us to be added to the list at: everydaype@gmail.com

Week 4 and Week 5 have a few spots left, they will be filled first come , first serve!

Home Runs are starting to fly!

The Homeruns are finally starting to fly out of the park!  Today, OG hit 2 homeruns, passing BS and NS for the Summer 2009 HR Championship.  The player with the most HRs hit during game play at EPE will win the HR King Award!

We play baseball everyday at EPE!  We go through proper warm-ups, throwing progressions and great baseball drills.  We then have a game with coaches pitching.

Come join the fun!

Are you the next HR King?
